i wish i had that option, i've currently been running a list of full alpha squadrons and kicking butt doing so.. so i don't think i can afford to sell any off seeing as they don't come in this expansion.. and i'll need to be buying 2 packs of this set.. bringing me 4 more interceptors i don't need

but the cards will be worth it... &^%*&$*^*&^%)*(^&

I'm in the same boat. I have 8 ints and 3 of 'em already with bloodstripes. I figure I'll want 4 of these expansions. 16 ints? Good grief.

After seeing the new cards, I wish this set was out now.

If I'm reading Kir Kanos right he adds 1 hit. So 3 attack dice + plus 1 automatic hit with spending the evade token equals 4 possible hits.

and with a new targeting computer upgrade, he has a high chance of hitting that mark

Kicking butt with Alpha Sq. Pilots? What else do you have on that list? I was thinking 5 avengers was the way to go, unless you're kitting them out with Stealth Devices and such.

What am I going to do? I mean, obviously get the set so I can run the EGI I've converted. But now I don't know how to mix up Interceptor versions. Currently I have an EGI and a Saber squadron.. But what do I do with the next 2?

1 EGI, 2 Saber, 1 without blood stripes?

I only wish I had the money to worry about being a purist. I'll probably run EGI, 181st and regular interceptor's all at once just for the variety of looks.

Of course if I could afford it I would a have an EGI squad and 181st squad but that just isn't going to happen...

Well played FFG! I already have 5 interceptors and you found a way to make me want more (love both the pilot abilities and the upgrades). Looks like the lowest pilot skill is 4, so at least the traditional interceptors will still be nice to have.

Now, let's see you do this for the Y-Wing (with a crew card upgrade), A-Wing (that has a rare firing arch), and X-Wing (I would also love to see Rogue Squadron pilots... Anyone up for Jaina Solo since they have rights to the Extended Universe -- would be amazing to see new versions of Luke and Wedge, too).

I should not have bought 4 Tie/in . Guess ill have 6 of them then, those new pilots are simply awesome.

I am starting to not trust the FFG people...and I am really beginning to like them for their unpredictability.

I had three more TI's in my cart at CoolStuff, to make these very models, but now I can spend that $30 on something else.

I will have to get two of these wonderful boxed sets as soon as they are released!!!

My thoughts exactly. This is a great way to bolster forces for Epic. I know Ibtisam is gonna love Opportunist. It's a great way to add dice to secondary weapons. Would you like a 5 dice HLC, or 4 on an Ion Cannon? I can't wait to see what they do for the rest of the ships.

Most likely because all they have do is change the paint job on existing models they already have the molds for... Adding the extra finds means producing the fins, having them added to the ships, ect...

If you look at the card art, the named pilots don't have the fins, but the Emperors Royal Guard upgrade does.

This looks fun and like it'll let me fit this cool ship better into swarms, but since I've already got 4 I'm not keen on shelling out for more than one box.

I really hope so, as my plan will be to just grab someone's extra set of cards off of eBay since I don't need the models. If they offered a POD pilot pack or the like I'd go that route.

I agree... I think I've already over bought on a few ships and now since we don't know their upcoming waves I may be a little more cautious/frugle . Not trying to be Mr. Negative, just trying to budget for both a game and the rest of life .

Yes, there's really no difference between a normal Tie/In and one of the Emperors Royal Guard Tie's, other then the paint job.

hmm the set gives you two of each generic pilot cards and upgrades but only 1 of each paint scheme.

To buy another set just so I can have the additional paint schemes seems like such a waste.
But If I wanted to do a soontir and Jax list I would need to use a generic tie int. It's not such a horrible thing since not every T/I in that squadron had a stripe but still. With two of every upgrade and generic pilots in this box set. I may want the other paint schemes for aesthetic reasons but its not practical at 100 point games since you can only ever field 5 T/I.
