This is a thread for all those moments in your Only War games when you need to stop and think "WTF just happened?" We all know the dice can have a very good sense of humor so post what some of your favorite stories are of comical achievements or mishaps during games.

just a few hours ago I was running my campaign, the characters were all on a chimera speeding through the tunnels of the cavern in the beginning portion of final Testimate (they were the head of a 10 vehicle convoy). then suddenly ork trukks start to pull up alongside the chimeras and try to board. one player who is playing a psyker had two amazing turns with his powers.

the first turn he accidentally summoned a bloodletter from the warp who immediately fell off the chimera and was run over by other chimeras and trukks.

the second turn he made the driver of one of the trukks think his hands had disappeared and the trukk immediately crashed as the driver went insane.

then a weirdboy who was on one of the trukks attempted to kill the players but accidentally teleported himself 13m into the air and fell off the trukk to be immediately run over by the group of vehicles behind them.

so anyone got any good stories?

From this very afternoon...

The squad is facing off against a huge number of Pale Throng mutants who charging at them down an enormous flight of stairs. The sergeant has rushed forward to engage one of the closer mutants in hand-to-hand combat. She orders the squad to throw grenades into the onrushing horde to slow them down or break them.

Three grenades fly.

Two come bouncing back down the stairs, landing right at the sergeant's feet and nearly blowing her to bits.

I love it when blast weapons scatter.
