Drawf decks without Dain

By superrob90, in Strategy and deck-building

I love me some Dain. He makes any Dwarf deck consistent and reliable. However using him in every Dwarf deck leads to some restrictions. I made an attempt at a Dwarf deck without him that came out pretty good (and is amazing when another play has Dain out.)

Heros

Bombur (OtD)- Great defender with 5 HP and the lore defensive attachments. Leads to triggering the 5 dwarf threshold you need on the first turn.

Ori (OHaUH) - Amazing card draw and a great attacker or quester. Whatever you need he does it for you.

Nori (OHaUH) - With the Lore dwarves having so many low cost allies his response will trigger quite often and keep your threat nice and low, allowing you to keep out Gandalf (OHaUH) as a potent quester and attacker.

Allies

Erebor Hammersmith (Core) x 3

Erebor Recordkeeper (KD) x3

Miner of the Ironhills (Core) x 3

Bifur (OtD) x 2

Dori (OHaUH) x 3

Dwalin (OtD) X 2

Kili (OHaUH) x 3

Fili (OHaUH) x 1

Gandalf (OHaUH) x 3

Attachments

A Burning Brand (CatC) x 2

Protector of Lorien (Core) x 2

Legacy or Durin (TWitW) x 2

Self Preservation (Core) x2

Unexpected Courage (Core) x 2

Song of Travel (THoEM) x2

Event

A Test of Will (Core) x 3

Dwarven Tomb (Core) x 3

Galadrim's Greeting (Core) x 3

Untroubled by Darkness (KD) x 3

Daeron's Runes (FoS) x 3

Lots of draw and lots of cheap dwarves to flood the table. Not the strongest deck in the world, though it gets the job done. Especially with Dain in play.

What are some other Dwarf decks you have tried without Dain, and what kind of success have you had with them?
