K Moves

By Orsonius, in X-Wing

hey gang!

Just played a game where my opponent did a K-move towrds me but couldnt complete it as my ship was in the way. Should he have been penalized with a stress token if the K-turn wasnt completed? A grey area but thought I'd ask... This cant be a new problem but I checked the FAQ and couldn't find anything...

Thanks in advance...

If you reveal a red maneuver, you receive a stress token.

If, during a K-turn, you end up in contact with other ship's base, you do not perform the K-turn portion of the movement, and you receive a stress token as normal.

Moral of the story: be sure you've got room when you wanna K-turn. :)

Yeah it's described in the rule book with an example of just that! And it says specific that you should treat the manuever as an straight and receive a stress token.

But it doesent say anything whats happen it youre green manover ends up against another ship!? So we still count that as an green manover.. Dont now what the rules says about that!

I believe that is correct, it's still a green maneuver.

That is correct, if you reveal a green maneuver, it is a green maneuver (for the purpose of R2-D2, or getting rid of stress for example), if at the end of the maneuver you end up "bumping" another ship, then that affects your "take action" phase.

A green manoeuver stays green and a red stays red whatever happens afterwards if you don't have R2 or Nien or a critical saying a green or white turns into a red.

It is noticeable that if you try a K-Turn and can't finish it you just do the corresponding straight move and you do not flip over thr ship. It stays in its orientation but still receives the stress.
