Tournament scoring with spent munitions

By SithlordDave, in X-Wing

When calculating the score of a match, how does spent munitions count towards victory?

Example:

4 Rookie X-Wings each with a proton torpedo equals 100 points. If during the game, all 4 proton torpedoes are used, that would be 16 points spent. Let's say the other side loses 1 Academy TIE fighter (12 points) and the game ends (reaching its time limit). Did the Imperial just win a modified match victory or did the Rebels?

ive seen it done this way - its about the points u earn for destroying ships that count. Upgrades of any sort are added to the victory points earned (even if they didnt use them!)

so ur rookie x-wing with torpedoes are worth 25pts each if they r destroyed whether they use the torps or not.

in ur example the imperials would lose (i think a modified win to rebels)

Normally, it is just ships killed in their total points. If the imps killed one of the X-Wings, then it would be 25 points weather the torp was shot or not. If no X-Wings are destroyed, then the imp would get 0 points since they didn't kill anything, even though 16 points worth of munitions were shot.

The answer to this is explicitly in the tournament rules document you can download from the support page.

In short, expended munitions are not scored unless the ship is destroyed. If you destroy a ship, you score it and all its upgrades, expended or not. If you don't destroy a ship, then you do not score expended munitions.

You are supposed to just flip the expended cards over as opposed to moving them to the discard pile if you're scoring matches.
