I have a player that desperately wants to play Selonian. Of course Sons of Fortune isn't out yet, but I'm thinking about working with him to come up with some temp stats to stand in until Sons of Fortune comes out.
Anyone have any ideas for Selonian stats?

Selonians ? They strike me as a particularly balanced species, which is why I didn't raise or lower any characteristics and why I gave them a respectable 11 in both thresholds.

I just read somewhere that Corran Horn (EU hero guy) had, um, relations with a Space Weasel but they had to split up because they were allergic to each other's skin.
Who knew the EU had 'furry' fantasies??
Though I suppose it's probably not much different from wookiees or something. Rule 34 and all that. It's mildly disturbing that someone out there has a Giant Space Weasel fetish but as long as it's consenting, who am I to judge?
I'm still thinking the Imperials would likely disagree and put out propaganda about it:

Selonians ? They strike me as a particularly balanced species, which is why I didn't raise or lower any characteristics and why I gave them a respectable 11 in both thresholds.
Based off of Ultimate alien anthology (which I own) they are rated +2 Dex, -2 Int, -2 Wis (d20 system). Keeping with that I would have: Brawn 2 Agility 3 Intellect 1 Willpower 2 Presence 2 Cunning 2. They also have increased speed when running on all four legs, natural weapons, Darkvision & low-light, +4 to swim, and are Agoraphobic as they spend most of their lives in underground dens (suffering a penalty when in open spaces unless they make a Will save).
Yeah, I tend to stay away from conforming my species to d20 stats when possible. Hardly any species in d20/Saga had a flat "No Ability Modifiers" like humans did, and already one of the basic races (Sullustans, IIRC?) in AoR has 2's across the board.* Better to re-imagine from the ground up, only using Saga Edition stats if I'm drawing a blank on what I should give a certain species as a special ability.
Selonians don't strike me as being dimwitted or superstitious like Trandoshans are, and they also don't seem to be incredibly dexterous as a species. All in all, they have been portrayed as more physically capable than a human, but not enough to warrant an extra Brawn, and they don't seem to have any real physical shortcomings as a species, so I didn't want to give them a 1 in anything, either.
So...that is why I stuck with 2's. YMMV, but I don't think non-human species MUST have a 3 and a 1 in different characteristics, especially if earlier d20 systems only put them at +2 and -2.
*As an aside, I didn't like early OCR/RCR d20 species conversion for Saga Edition back in the day (by which I mean 6 years ago)...WAY too much pluses and minuses being thrown around, and stupid bonuses to climb checks and unarmed combat if you have 4 arms, and what-have-you. In general, IMO the OCR/RCR stats should just not come into play

They also did build space ships before any off world contact was made with them. They were too agoraphobic to actually use them--but they did build them. They seem smart to me, just not extremely brave--except for maybe tunnel guard.

In fact, in retrospect, I now demand the hero of the Disney sequels is a hybrid lamprey/werewolf jedi on a roaring rampage of revenge against the people who killed his parents. The films are a bit human-centric really, and this is how to rectify that.

As for inter-species pairings, I had the rotten luck to come across one involving a Gand and an uplifted mynock. I bailed the moment it became clear the author had put way too much thought into how such a pairing would actually work.
Though the last Sage Edition campaign I was in, there were jokes about the male Squib and female Arkanian PCs managing to hook up, which was made funny by the fact the Arkanian was cooler than an icebox on Hoth when it came to her dealings with others; she showed more affection for a cybernetic Sith warbeast than she did for most of the party.
But on second thoughts, it's actually less squicky that that idiotic brat hitting on a grown woman twice his age in PM.Well, at least in-verse, Padme (14) was only a few years older than Anakin (9), so that cuts down on the ick factor a little. Of course, Jake's lousy acting didn't help matters.

The film I saw as a seven year old wasn't called 'Episode IV: A New Hope'. If it was, I very much doubt I'd have pestered my dad to see it. It was called 'STAR WARS'. No matter what Mr Lucas thinks.

Yep, FOX said that it couldn't have the subtitle because no other Star Wars movie or such had been released, so it would be confusing for it to have the subtitle Episode IV: A New Hope. After it's success and the later release of Empire Strikes Back (with the subtitle Episode V) the crawl for the first film was modified and has been that way ever since. So, they've been Ep IV, V and VI since the get go. Long before the prequels were released.
