Missing a 6x6 room

By Paul Grogan, in Descent: Journeys in the Dark

I'm just setting up for tonights gaming session. We are playing level 7 so I need 2 6x6 rooms. I look through my big bag and find the one with the bones on and the mossy one. I cant find one which looks like the actual one on the map. So I start searching around, cant find it.

Should there be one? Have I lost it?

There are 2 6x6 rooms. The non-mossy one has what looks like a dragon skeleton or something in the middle of it. If you have both of those, I think you've got them.

I don't have the quest guide in front of me to see what dungeon 7 looks like, so I'm not sure what it should look like. It's possible that there is a 3rd 6x6 that came with rtl, but the only one of that size that I recall is the encounter piece which is a bit more than 6x6...is there any special prop/obstacle in it? If not, I can't see why one of the others wouldn't work.

I have three such rooms:

  • One with a green back, and two dead-ends, this is the encounter starting tile;
  • One with a dragon skeleton;
  • One with mushrooms in the corners.

As Feanor said, the base game only comes with two 6x6 rooms. The artwork on the maps in the quest guide doesn't necessarily match the actual dungeon tiles.

The fun part is making the floor user defined (eye candy) in my mind

Hey Paul, I took a second look at that level when I had my rtl book in front of me yesterday. I noticed that technically neither of the rooms match what I have. Taking a closer look at the dungeons, really none of them show a lot of detail in the rooms outside of obstacles, etc. They basically just have a "plain Jane" version of any room unless you need a portal or the special room with the pits on either side, etc. Definitely the 6x6s with the base game (one with moss, one with a skeleton in the middle are the way to go.
