wonder what happened? it was "at the printer" last time i looked. Was this a goof up? or did something not go as planned?
Starfield tiles back to "in development"
Perhaps they are making them better? Like adding a non-slip surface? Or, more likely they got preempted for the immediate need for waves 3 and 1.
They need to go back to the drawing board anyway, those were fugly.
I realize I haven't seen the tiles in person, but I'm not sure I'm a fan of the concept. I think I'd have to see them before I could decide to buy them.
The one thing those tiles need is a way to interlock to prevent the table getting jostled causing a rift in the space-time continuum. No slip surface would be nice too.
I'm with doublenot7. They should dump the tiles and print roll out mats.
Okay Mauigreen, thanks for posting this. I was actually going to ask about 'em on the forums, because I 'rolled up' the Tiles with the Beyond the Rim book - and so of course now I'm sittin' here waiting. Looks like I'll need to mod my Minis Market order!

i agree, that would be much better than just a cardboard tile

not a bad idea. something non-slip

i ordered this with wave 3 & MM was very cool & shipped wave 3 out when i asked.
Still not a fan of this idea. I got the GF9 deep space mat for $28. I think that is a better than this in many ways, and I'd buy the new nebula map from GF9 before I'd buy this one.
