Team Effort Initiative

By Jamwes, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

Yeah Jay was pretty clear on that in one of the earlier discussions. Initiative slots don't get removed (and there's nothing in the rules at say that they do), but they do stay unused if there's no one to use them.

And @HappyDaze et al, that is just one reason why I NEVER listen to the Order 66 Podcast. Because it fills my head with good gaming knowledge, and I like to remain ignorant and opinionated.

Is that meant to be an insult? I think so, but I'd like you to clarify.

Benefit of the doubt, yo. IMO, this forum has too many insults being flung around; it's unhealthy for the neural synapses. Plus all the combative behavior is not really conducive to beneficial, game-wise discussion.

More to the point (and now that I read it from a different point of view, I can see how you might have inferred an insult, although it was the furthest thing from my mind), my comment was just an (apparently lame) attempt at obviously self-deprecating humor.

Even more to the point, the implication therein is that I dislike filling my aforementioned head with the subsequently mentioned good gaming knowledge, while the reader is intended to view these things as obviously beneficial, and thus conclude that I am "just kidding" and that I actually dislike remaining, myself, ignorant and opinionated. Hence, the illusion of cognitive dissonance breeds (or was intended to breed) humor.

I'm hoping this is clarification enough, because otherwise I would be getting silly.

Henceforth, if it's helpful, I'll endeavor to demarcate humor/sarcasm/non-serious remarks in bright blue (as illustrated above). Please refrain from holding me responsible for the absence of blue in what I consider to be obvious humor, or for the presence of a hue that may or may not resemble bright blue where bright blue was actually the intended color.

No harm done. This is not the fight no one was looking for. :)

I never listen to the Order 66 podcast.
