Heir to the empire trilogy and Dark empire series ships for future waves?

By KILODEN, in X-Wing

Yeah, that would make sense. Forgot that one. New Republic and Empire didn't sound right...

They could do a "Shadows of the Empire" wave:

Rebels:

Outrider, Dash Rendar's ship (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Outrider)

Mist Hunter, Zuckuss's ship (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Mist_Hunter)

Empire:

Virago, Xizor's ship (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Virago)

IG-2000, IG-88's ship (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/IG-2000)

This is brilliant, but it would kinda screw up my hopes for a Bounty Hunters-only expansion with Mist Hunter, Bossk's Hound's Tooth, IG-2000, and Dengar's Punishing One.

I would be up for that too. Although the Hound's Tooth seems a bit too big being twice the size of the Millennium Falcon. Mainly I just want to see the Virago and the Outrider.

Regarding the Hound's Tooth all I can say is, I'd pay for it. For that matter they can make a Wayfarer so I can mock up the ship my Edge of the Empire RPG group is flying around in.

I'd also want a Ghtroc 720 (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Class_720_freighter). I'm still a little sad that they removed it as a starting ship for Edge of the Empire.

I always thought that the Ghtroc looked a little too much like Gamera.

I've got a bad feeling about EU after this latest news. I'm afraid we are in for more reprints and not new ships as this game moves forward.

I don't know they have released these outside of the Wave release scedule, so they are not biting into new ship releases and also they are dipping into the EU for the paint schemes and the stats. I would say that is in a lot of ways positive.

As long as they don't expect me to pay good money for a Pod Car I'm okay with all options mentioned above

I wouldn't fret if I were you kiloden. Like rodent mastermind said, the new pilots and paint schemes are pure EU, and all signs point to the fact that these sort of expansions are going to be released between waves and not take up slots that could be used for EU fighters.

i hope you are right there thunder chicken, actually the "Thunder Chicken" would make for a cool name for a bomber.

My thought on the Imperial Aces vs Wave 4 was that FFG wanted to make sure they had new product available for the Christmas season and avoid any Wave 4 delays (like with Wave 2 last Fall). By doing the Imp Aces now (and hopefully Rebel Aces announced soon too) and holding the Wave 4 announcement until Worlds Weekend with a Spring release date, they get the best of both worlds.

My guess is: Imp Aces (and hopefully Rebel Aces) for Q4 holiday season

CR-90 and Rebel Transport in Feb/March

Wave 4 in April/May - Just in time for Regionals

Would be a solid release schedule if they could stick to it.
