Immunity of ravens and bear island

By Moneylender, in 2. AGoT Rules Discussion

I remember an old rule that immune cards are "not seen" by the cards they are immune to, so would this mean that bear island is not shut down by your (non stark) white raven, since the raven is immune to bear island?

My gut tells me "no", but since the immunity issue was mostly ruled in the Valyrian edition, it´wouldnt surprise me if a long forgotten FAQ entrance would make that actually work. .. oh man without this rules Forum I would be just lost. ^^

Actually, the "long forgotten FAQ" entries on immunity say that the original "not seen" explanation of immunity was the wrong way to think of it and was actually the cause of most of the problems understanding immunity.

Immune cards are not "invisible." In fact, it is better to think of immune cards as "ignoring" the cards they are immune to rather than being "invisible" to them. So it's not "Bear Island can't see White Raven;" it's "White Raven scoffs at Bear Island."

Or, said another way, because White Raven is immune to non-Raven cards, it would ignore any direct effect Bear Island would try to lay on it - but Bear Island sees the Raven just fine. And because Bear Island sees the Raven, it is well aware that it's play restrictions are not met (and thus cannot be used).

Thanks!

It´s good that now I got rid of one more "rule myth" that lingered in my head.
