Very well painted! Such a clean and precise job you did sir.

Nice! It's interesting to see this one in contrast to the other [^ ^ ^ Pinder's ^ ^ ^] Kath Firespray, which goes for more of a weathered, beaten look.

I was reading your how-to...did you strip it first, or simply hit it with a light coat of primer right over the existing paint?

There he goes...again!

You did good on your version too bud, they both rock!

I am going to get a couple of peppermint candies now...really I am getting up to go to the kitchen now.

So you didn't strip the original paint? You just painted over it?

Also, nice action shots with the range rulers as the "lasers".

Hi fellas - Cheers for the great comments :)

Yep, no stripping done on this model - Nice, even base coat applied with white car primer.

It doesn't obscure any of the original details and stripping paint can be a hit and miss affair with these models (it becomes an expensive mistake if the chems start melting the thing... :o )

Thanks! I love seeing how different interpretations of the same paint scheme can be so vastly different, and yet both so similar and gorgeous!

Pinder - Yours looks the bomb, dude :)

I tried painting mine to be a bit more weathered but I suppose that's just my painting style... Maybe some weathering powders may do the trick...

Quite a good job, although I'm wondering if I'm the only one who thinks a darker grey would be in order.

Also where did that Venator come from. And how much was it?

No, fair play, maybe a darker grey would have been a better bet ^_^

The Venator is the Revell Republic Star Destroyer

You can pick it up off eBay for around 30 quid

Dirt is good, but I think you wanted to get that (Hard to do right) white nice and...white. You did it, so now be brave and splash some dirt around.

;)

That is easy for me to say as I have yet to get my first ship, and the second one I get will be like Jango's.

I know the prequels stink, but there are a few cool moments, like the Obi Wan v/s Jango Fett scenes.

I am getting mine in about two weeks. I had my eye on it for a while, but after seeing how you used it as a Anti Piracy craft, I hunted one up...Ha!
