NBN Tag and Bag

By stupnick, in Android: Netrunner Deck Building

I really like NBN and the ability to trace and tag people.

I like the power of having 2 free credits to complete your traces per turn, and just the fear it causes to have a tag in the wings and some scorched earth following behind..

Here is a deck I played tonight, it played decent, but I wanted to get some advice on it...

Thoughts?

I play something similar. Noticed that you are very heavy on sentry Ice and have no advancable traps (matrix analyzer goes very well with traps). Personally I like at least one aggressive secratary to trash for example Magnum Opus. Also fast money assets like mining corp or adonis is good for the expensive Ice such as Tollbooth and Flare.

But I'm in no way an experienced player =)

Also, it really is good to have some Ice that just End Runs without the trace cost. Some runners link up early making your Ice more expensive for you to use than him to pass.

My personal combo of choice is Score Breaking news on first click, Play Big Brother on second and finishing with draining the runners credit pool with Closed Account on the third leaving the runner with no money to remove the two remaining tags.

I also found Dedicated Assault Team (I think that's the name) to be quite fun to use. 2 net damage per run really hurts and messes with the Runner. Not so easy to just run archives to charge Datasucker when you have to pay two cards for each run.

It may be worth maxing out those Breaking News agendas. I know it can be tough to cut content to add additional agenda cards but here's the potential reward for the risk:

1. The runner spends tons of credits to nab a measly 1 point agenda. Not too bad a loss...

2. Play it and pump it once in a turn. Runner might think they've spotted a trap as it will be impossible to score a 5 point agenda on your next turn so they'll wonder what the heck is up.

3. Score it next turn and dual Scorch them. This trick can be played even slicker if you've already scored an Auto Script.

4. Profit

The temporary tags dolled out by Breaking news can be utilized in quite a few useful ways. Not to mention those games when you're sitting at 6 points and draw into one. That has happened a fair amount during my career thus far.

P.S.

Your deck looks tight. Keep tweaking and go with what you know.

Here is the current version...

I like breaking news but it has been whittled down a bit..

Is the Deck doing well? Looks solid and fun to play!

Perhaps one or two Priority Req to rezz those Tollbooths and Flares?

And with so many possibilities for giving tags it seems a shame not to include at least one Psychographics. It can be used for so many things. Like something silly like putting ten advancements on a Ice Wall or just scoring 3 point agendas out of hand.
