Cthulhun awakening- need a small confirmation

By Guest, in Arkham Horror Second Edition

Cthulhu's power Dreams of Madness read "When Cthulhu stirs in his slumber..." does that mean that whe he awakes investigators have their maximum sanity and stamina intact? I'm pretty sure they don't, at least that how I played so far, but it just came to me that I may be wrong. Am I?

Nope that's right, the "stirs in his slumber" phrase means the same thing as "is the AO this game". Everyone loses 1 max Sanity and Stamina at the beginning of the game, and this carries through to the end.

In other words: you've got seven rounds to put him to sleep.

Good luck!

hmmm...I always played it as it doesn't work that way but he usally kills us anyways in the final battle!
