lnvestigator turns

By alboy, in Arkham Horror Second Edition

Can someone tell me if this is right.

lf you draw a Location card & a Gate & Monster appear you go to the other World delayed, do you then have a Other World encounter the same turn, next turn you are no longer delayed & have another encounter in the first area, next turn you move to the second area & have another encounter, next turn you go back to Arkham.

All this is assuming nothing untoward happens to the investigator.

I'm pretty sure that's correct. If you get sucked through a gate, you end up having three OW encounters, whereas if you enter a gate willingly, you only have two.

If you enter one voluntarily or by Nightgaunt, or if one opens on you during the Mythos phase, expect 2 encounters.

If one opens on you during Arkham Encounters phase, expect 3.

While we're at it: If an encounter says "move to location X and immediately have an encounter there", and the location have a gate, from what I understand you still have an encounter and you're not sucked through the gate is that correct? And what happens when you have an encounter "a gate appears" on that location? does a monster surge occurs? thx ahead.

If the location you move to has a gate, then there is no location where you could draw an encounter at, gate replaces location, so moving there will have you enter the gate.

Technically, Entering a Gate is your Encounter if you are at a Location with an Open Gate during the Arkham Encounters Phase.
