weapon attachment for a character

By BroodyGambit, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

Hello, I was just wanting to get some input on a character I play. He is a doctor, more or less a pacifist who tries to avoid fights as best as possible, but joins in when needed. He doesn't want to really hurt anyone so his pistol is always set to stun and he keeps some anesthetics and paralytics to remove enemies from the fight without killing them. I recently picked up a pair of shock gloves for him to use in and out of combat, and I was thinking of using the 1 HP for an attachment. It is not in the book at all, but I was thinking of custom making an aerosol deploying device in the wrist or something that could help me render threats unconscious. How would you guys go on about this, how much would you charge, would you custom add any mods to something like this? Thanks in advance for any input.

Yeah. I'd talk with your GM and set it up, but this could be handled by the poisons in the equipment chapter. Just turn your gloves into an applicator, maybe Ranged (Light) with the range of Engaged, – damage, – crit. 1 mod to increase maximum range band by 1, maybe 2 mods to increase poison resistance difficulty by +1.

Cool idea!

Thanks for the input. I like the idea to mod for an increased range. what did you mean by damage and crit? inherent boost to one or the other, or a mod for each in addition to the resistance and range increase.

On a side note, I really want to get the opportunity to get stuck engaged with an opponent and tap his chest and yell clear to knock him out.

My thoughts exactly. I love the idea! Too cool.

Instead of using darts or needles and junk, you just spray them in the face with knock-out gas. Pretty handy!
