replacement maneuver dial?

By GlassJaw, in X-Wing

I seem to be missing a Tie Fighter maneuver dial. The FFG customer service page says it's for requesting a "manufacturing defect or missing component in a new Fantasy Flight Games product".

Should I sitll give it a shot? Any other options for getting a replacement?

Give it a shot. I had one of my Falcon base inserts come up missing. I contacted FFG's customer service for a replacement. FFG sent me the entire set of cardboard components for the Falcon with no questions asked.

They do have amazing service and it's one reason I don't feel too bad about pouring money into this game.

Wow. I had heard their customer service was good, which was why I didn't mind buying a guy's set that was missing a few components. But I, too, read their strict policy of not selling replacement parts, and decided it wasn't worth asking. After reading this, I'm going to give it a shot, too. I'll let you know how it works out!

It never hurts to ask. The worse they say is "no"

I lost several maneuver dials when I was demo'ing at a convention, and they replaced them at no cost to me.

Not sure how much of that may have been because I was demo'ing it - I was clear about that ;) - rather than just general loss, but it doesn't hurt to try.

I had a good experience but had to lie - however ensure you remind them to add the clip as well as the cards

Yes. Give it a shot. I, too, have had a great experience with FFG's Customer Service for the same reason (a Y-wing dial, in my case).

. . . And it's FREE.

What if you happen to live overseas (outside of the US)? Has anyone asked to get replacement pieces sent overseas? Would they consider shipping these items feasible?

I got some extra large pegs sent to me in the UK. because mine started cracking, after a couple of games.

My package arrived yesterday and they sent me every piece that I asked for: 4 ship bases and 3 missing upgrade cards. You rock, FFG!
