Sooo I would like to get involved with this online tournament but have yet to play a single game online. Im pretty good at my shop but I doubt it compares to the skill needed here. My question is if anyone wants to learn with me or teach me how to use this program optimally. I have everything downloaded and ready to go. Thanks for any help.

Yeah, I've never won a tournament but I did alright in the previous Vassal tournament. So don't let that stop you!

I got it all running. I just need the basics on what is different and rules for the Vassal game itself.

Get this installed:

and then you just open up the module inside vassal - it will connect you to the one and only central place to play X-Wing Miniatures online, and hope to find people there. There's been an increase in activity in the past few days.

Alternatively, make an account either at Team Covenant, BGG or join the x-wing community in Google+ and post there, asking for games. There's a lot of people in those places, many are regular users of vassal. Just yesterday I played 2 games.

Ok, I already use vassal, I was mostly just wondering where to meet people to set up games but I just joing TC so I will look there.
