So i was wondering how many X-wing players there are in the world. Is there any way to find that out? FFG must have some numbers on how big the forces are.
X-wing players

I believe what he means is: "There's always a bigger fish"
87
87
86 - Steve hung it up.
87? I thought 42 was the answer to everything?
I actually Google'd it to be sure "what is the answer to life the universe and everything"
Go Douglas Adams
The Topic that has the most views has 14,112 views. Lets say that FFG forum is X and the world is Z and the number of players that usually don't sign up for or give a **** about forums like this is P then X*Z/P=M. Now we have the differential of how easy it is to get a hold of x-wing miniatures divided by the country's that do NOT reside next to USA and the number for everything will be 42. As always
Easy as pie
Carry the zero.....and...yep, 42 it is.

Wait, are you carrying a regular numeric zero, or a binary zero?
Because if you go binary, it comes out to 101010 instead.
Waaaaaaaaaait a minute...
Edited by CrookedWookieNot a whole lot of players then?
No I think there are a lot of players - there were what, 80-some in the big tournament at GenCon? And the game keeps selling out every batch of every wave they put out, repeatedly. We were just kidding around. One guy threw out a random number. I claimed it was one less, because one guy quit. The 42 thing is actually the answer to Life, the Universe, and Everything, from the Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy series, and 101010 is actually '42' in Binary. We were all just goofing around.
Biggest thread has 14,000 + views... cut 4,000 off for repeat views = 10,000. Multiply by 2-3 for the number of non-internet users in hobby or at least non-internet users using this site. Double or triple again for non-english speakers! Multiply by 2 or so again for players who just learned about the game in the past month and half and sprinkle in another x2 or so for people who just use their buddies fleets and you're somewhere in the right ballpark. Not a ton, but a significant amount for such a new game.

CrookedWookie is right. There seems to be quite a few player and the games do keep selling out pretty much everywhere.
Play in So Fl depends on which store you go to. Play in Mid Florida (Orlando/Tampa) is much bigger (I think). Part of this is due to the very fact that supply seems limited.
It is a really fun game with really detailed and well done miniatures that is in the Star Wars universe which is an even bigger plus if you're into that with lots of fans.
And yes... we were all just goofing around which doesn't change the fact that the answer to everything is indeed 42.
There are also people who buy the products and are not gamers, just collectors. My son has a nice little fleet, he does not play.
