Are there any nice weapon or armour attachments that I can use in a Lore/Spirit deck, or do I need to play Song cards to give my heroes Leadership or Tactics icons? Most Spirit and Lore attachments seem to be Willpower- or Location-related, or are very conditional. For instance, I would love to give Glorfindel some nice armour and defend more effectively!

I don't think there's anything that will boost Glory-boy's attack value, but there are some attachments that will make him a better defender. Burning Brand (Core-findel only) allows you to disregard shadow effects, Protector of Lorien lets you pitch cards for defence (up to 3 times per phase) and Self Preservation heals 2 hit points per round. Two of those cards are from the core set, so you don't even need to hunt them down!
Just to clarify, Shield of Gondor (and similar) can be played on a song-less Glorfindel by a tactics hero. Burning Brand requires the Lore icon of course. You can also use the Dunedain xxx cards from Leadership.
I'm happy that the spheres are distinct in this way. Tactics needs all the love it can get. (But I know where you are coming from: I use Spirit Glory as my primary quester and during Siege he loses effectiveness.)
Thanks for replying. I realise the spheres are supposed to be good at different things. I run a deck with Lore/Spirit only, and so most combat attachments are out of my reach without Song cards. Maybe this will change with an elven expansion. I'll keep my hopes up.
Lore does have the only non-Tactics weapon attachment in the game (excluding treasures). The recently released Ranger Bow! Probably not what you are looking for though...
I do remember seeing this card online a while back. While I do play a Ranger hero (Lore Aragorn), I feel this is an attachment that I wouldn't make much use of, save in specific situations. I guess this is just how the game is supposed to work - Lore and Spirit aren't supposed to do much heavy fighting. Thanks for the tip, though! I have been considering adding some trap cards to make it easier on my heroes.
Also, Blood of Numenor has't been mentioned. Can give you +defense if you're using a Gondor or Dunedain hero, but it really asks for some resource acceleration to be most effective.... and that's lacking in lore & spirit.
Check out my secrecy Strider plus Spirit Glorfindel deck ("Stealth-agorn!"):
This looks like a nice deck! I've been hesitant to include more than one copy of Resourceful as I don't run normally run secrecy (I really like Elrond, not planning on leaving him out), but I might try something like this just for fun. Will definitely include trap cards in the future, and possibly some ranger allies. (It is mainly an Imladris deck for Loragorn does provide a thematic Gondor connection.)
But, if you by chance interested in 2-deck play (either 2-handed or with another player), it is fun to combine mono-Lore with mono-Spirit, use threat reduction and other tricks to keep enemies in the staging area and snipe them with Ranger Bow and DĂșnhere. Song of Battle is still great in such a case, however. If you saw the spoiler of the upcoming Black Riders cards, there's Blade of Westernesse (+1 attack, or +2 instead when attacking an enemy with higher engagement than your threat), which is just made for DĂșnhere (beside others). With just one of those, he should be hitting the enemies for 5, killing most of them, damaging almost all of them, add that to a Ranger Bow or two, and you have a great way of dealing with enemies without ever engaging them. And Hands Upon the Bow goes great with hero Faramir. But again, it is Tactics cards indeed.
