Nice to hear! I hope I can get some Wave 3 before they all disappear. ;P

I suspect that wave 3 will be much easier to find than waves 1 and two. We're starting to move into more obscure ships that casual fans might recognize but won't immediately think of when you say "Star Wars". One ship is EU that movie only fans would never even have seen. Add to that the fact that mechanically these are all support ships rather than workhorse fighters and I think even the more rabid fans will be getting less of them overall.

Which I really hope FFG takes into account when they are deciding how much time and energy to put into future waves. It would be awful if a wave of all semi-obscure specialist ships not doing as well as the well known jack of all trades resulted in the line as a whole losing favor with the creators.

But on a more important note *happy dance*.

I agree with W3 ships being easier to find, if for no other reason that FFG knows they can make as many units as they want and sell them. W1 and W2 will probably be properly stocked eventually too, but it will take time I think.

Thats frustrating to hear. The store that I'll be buying from doesn't do pre-orders so I'm going to have to hit the store as soon as i get a notification that they're in. Oh well I will be happy as long as I can get one of each and maybe an extra bomber and b-wing.

I've heard mixed things, to be honest. On here people are saying the 13th. My LGS said they heard reliably from FFG the date was the 9th. Possible they meant the shipping date, not the in store date. But they also said they were assured this time they'd be getting their hands on all of them they wanted and not running into shortages like last time. And when I found out I could sign up and get a 20% discount for preordering through the Event Center, they had no problem putting me down for 2 of everything. So it seems like everything I'm hearing is contradictory with everything else.

They will be sold out before they even hit the stores!!

Manufacturers often impose "street dates" on distributors. The distributors and stores may get theirs by September 9th or earlier, but they cannot release the product until a street date. Manufacturers can impose this through their wholesale pricing agreement and they often offer incentives to uphold the street date (i.e. free promotional material, posters, etc. to help market the product).

I remember last year I was surprised to see my Wave 2's arrive the day after the stated release date. Considering that MM is about a three day delivery from me it is clear the warehouse had the product before the release date and shipped in anticipation that I would receive it by the "street date."

If FFG has a street date then they have a funny way of implementing it. I would mostly expect the differences in deliver time has to do largely with distributors and the location of where you are purchasing from.

I hope that the 13th holds true for me here in Canada, I'll be buying from a major store so I would expect it will be that date or sooner but I suppose you never know. I just hope that they come in with enough time for me to pick them up before I go on vacation. It would be nice to not have to wait until after I get back.

Just got an email from the Event Center in Roseville, MN that they expect to have their Wave 3 stuff ready for pickup a week from today, on the 11th.

I wonder when Barnes and Noble will have them... Wish they would get them ASAP!

New in box X-Wings are now available on Amazon. 1st wave in hand ready to ship. There are 10 left out of 30 I had. I also have 1 y-wing left. Tay2079.

They may say the 13th because that is the worst case for stores. Most stores will probably get them sooner.

I called about 5 different LGCS in my area, and I couldn't get a straight answer. I just kept hearing "my distributor...blah blah blah". The closest answer to getting a shipment in is next Weds - Fri.

So far I have ordered 2 Hwk-290's, 3 Tie Bombers, 1 B-Wing and 1 Lambda Shuttle. All should hopefully come in 1-2 weeks! Can't wait for them.

I live in Uganda and I am absolutely outraged the Americans and Europeans get it before us. All we get is leftovers. Figuratively. A lot of people would appreciate it if that was literal.

Hey! You guys get new episodes of BBC shows before we do, so I don't want to hear about it.

But seriously, that's just the way it goes. Like he said; we tend to get Eurogames after they've been out there for a while. Your cool European films show up months late, in our tiny little art house theatres. FFG headquarters is in my hometown, and it's easier for them to support the US game scene, so they prioritize there first. There's a lot of reasons that makes economic sense - the profit margins are going to be highest for them (outside of maybe selling them factory direct in China ) here in the US.

So you probably do kind of get the leftovers, figuratively speaking. That said, whatever the deal with your local game shops, once those minis hit stores next week, you should be able to order them online no problem. Online shops aren't going to care if you're in the US, UK, or Uganda, as long as you jump on and order while supplies last, and you'll have access to those pretty much the same moment the rest of us do.
