Online play.

So I play with a group at home from time to time but unfortunately we don't meet to play as much as I would like. Could anyone recommend a good way to set up playing EotE over the webs? I've checked out Roll20 but haven't seen very many groups active.

Use Roll20 within a Google+ Hangout

http://help.roll20.net/misc-playing-in-google-plus/

Use the Google Plus EotE die rolling tool

Use Google Dive to share character sheets (take a copy of this character sheet)

And advertise your games here:

Once you have a group meeting regularly create your own Google+ community and use that to track your sessions etc.

For managing you campaign, Obsidian Portal is good. Their campaign management has a Wiki, Blog, Calendar, Maps, Forum, and Comments sections. It is built just for RPG campaigns.

See THIS THREAD. It talks about using the Google+ EofE tools to play online. Works great. I have friends in 3 different states that play once a month or so.

I also use Roll20 and can't speak highly enough of it.

I'd initially looked at the Google+ Hangouts with Roll20 and the Dice Roller that was made for hangouts, however, shortly before our first session I discovered maptools had a custom framework that was created for EotE and I must say....it's amazing! If you can get everyone updated to the most recent Java, the added features that Maptools and the EotE Framework added are just Brilliant!! My players couldn't believe how easily they were able to get into the swing of things. We still used Google Hangouts for the voice chat, but Maptools proved to be a much more feature rich playground for us. Check out the forums on rptools.net for more info.
