Looking at Deadly Accuracy it stats: the character may add his basic training ranks in that combat skill as .....

What is his basic training ranks? Is it the ranks you put into that combat skill at character creation? So a mercenary soldier that put no ranks into brawl at character creation gets no bonus if he takes deadly accuracy in brawl? Or does it change if later he spends xp to get ranks of brawl?

I think it just means skill ranks without any artifical changes that may alter it (True aim or sense upgradeing a ranged attack for example).

So basically whatever actual ranks you have in that combat skill. Just the ranks nothing you get from Characteristic, gear, etc.?
