I'd love to build some small Imperial capships to go with the up-coming CR-90, like the Imperial Customs Corvette and Assassin-class Corvette. I figure by the time I'm done the new ships will be in stock and read to order.

The thing is, I'm a stickler for scale, and the CR-90 is not 1:270. Does anyone know what the new scale is?

EDIT: Based on the preview image, comparing the distance between the two bases and the distance the front and back poke out from the ends of the bases, I'd say it's 1:350 scale. I'll probably operate on this until I actually get my hands on the real deal.

1:500 scale would be my guess as it looks to be about 12" long

During the In-Flight Report at Gen Con 2013, out of the mouth of Christian Petersen, FFG CEO, the new scale to be used for transport and capital ships is the "feels right" scale - which he explained is not going to be static, but will likely change for each and every release. Probably not what you were hoping to hear, but looks like that's what it's going to be.

Better than silence. And in any case the first ship I'll do, the Imperial Customs Corvette, isn't too large at 20.2" in 1:350, so it'll be fine.

It's not 12". More like 16" if the bases are about the same size as the "Large" ships (or Medium now?).

Yeah it seems like they all are going to be between 6 to 18 inches or there abouts. They look good to my eye.

It's for the fabulous resin Rebel Runner kit in 1/350 scale. The model is 18" long.

With that in mind, a 1/270 model would be oh, roughly 22;" and we know it isn't that big of a scale.

EDIT: At first I was inclined to go with BigDogg, but looking again at the photo I have to agree with Millenium Falsehood that the Corvette looks to be more like 15". That's awesome! Wouldn't that make it somewhere around 1/450 or something? You Wizzos do the math for us - based on a 15" ship and a 16" ship.
