Searched the FAQ and this forum...If you have Luke as an x-wing pilot then my assumption is that you can't use him as an upgrade for the Falcon. Is this accurate?

Correct. Both are unique, and there can be only one unique character on the battlefield. Besides, it wouldn't make sense if Luke could pilot his X-wing and man the gun turret at the same time, would it?

May not be legal but really could/should be as it still makes sense. At least it make as much sense as adding an upgrade card that can discard a damage card and restore a shield being on a ship that gets to turn all critical into non-criticals.

Of course you can house rule it any way you want in your own games.
