Initiative and Dice Pool tracker

By whafrog, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

There have been some good initiative and combat trackers posted here, but one thing missing that I need help keeping track of is the constantly fluctuating dice pool from spending advantages and threats on allies and opponents. So here's my stab at it:

Note a count of any persistent effects in the top left. For example, in the Long Arm of the Hutt, there is Gamorrean opera playing that gives everyone a setback die until it's resolved. Up arrows are upgrades, down arrows are downgrades.

Note character initiative scores in the top right. It seemed easier to just note the score as, say 3S 2A, rather than taking column space for each dice type. Also note any persistent effects that a character might be experiencing, for example, from critical wounds.

While tracking each round note any boost dice, setback dice, upgrades, or downgrades by adding a tick in an upcoming character's slot in the round. Once you've checked that character's turn, those dice/upgrades/downgrades no longer apply.

Any suggestions are welcome!

will be checking this out tonight. I definitely see the need for this type of tool, sounds great.

I got some different colored chits (blue and black mainly) and will try placing them on the Initiative Tracker that someone made a few weeks ago and see how it goes. I do like yours though as it would save some fiddly bits. Not sure if there's a limit to setbacks and upgrades though so maybe a check box isn't enough (ie, Character A gives Character C a boost, and Character B does too so that would be two boost dice for Character C). Could be a rule I missed limiting the number of boosts to just 1 (which could make sense if the boosts are for pretty much the same reason).

Nevermind, I see you used boxes so could write 2 in the box instead of a check mark

Yep, actually instead of numbers I was thinking hash marks (5th is horizontal...if you get that many). But there is a big flaw in the sheet, and that is that characters don't act in original initiative order. One solution for the round tracking is that your check marks wouldn't necessarily go in order from top to bottom. I'm not sure I like that, but I can't think of an elegant way to handle it. I'll work on it more tomorrow.
