Just thought I would post my repaints of Red Squadron.
Red leader Garven Dries, Red 2 Wedge Antilles.
Red 3 Biggs Darklighter, Red 5 Luke Skywalker.

very very cool, if you don't mind me asking: where did you find the coplourschemes?
From some of the old ILM photos in the model shop pre and post production EP4. Also inspired from other model builders re-creating them in studio scale.

On a side note there were actually Blue squadron X-wings built by ILM but could not be used because they would not work with the blue screen.

I looked at the card and find it hard to be sure if that is his exact X-wing color scheme. There is plenty of actual model photos to reference so I went with what the ILM model looked like.
Awesome job! My one question is why Porkins has a custom X-wing. We all know he was a Y-wing pilot through and through.
The last thing he flew was an X-Wing.

I was wondering what colors people / you used for your repaints? I would hate to put a brush to one of my models only to find out that the reds didn't match, or the yellows were off. Thanks!
I basically mix red and rusty red to match the existing colors it is not an exact science more of just using my eye. If it is not to my liking I adjust color on the fly. It pays to have thinned paint, about the consistency of milk. I think it is better to do 3 or 4 light coat over one thick one. Cheers!
For the yellow I just use GW vomit brown with a hint of P3 Cygnus yellow, just a dab will do.
