I have been sorting through my X-Wing minis and tokens and noticed something peculiar. Ever notice that little identifier on the token punch-out cards (black text on a field of white), it has the number for the product in the format SWXXX?
Well, the number correlates as follows:
SWX01 - Core Set
SWX02 - X-Wing Expansion
SWX03 - TIE Fighter Expansion
SWX04 - Y-Wing Expansion
SWX05 - TIE Advanced Expansion
SWX06 - Millennium Falcon Expansion
SWX07 - Slave I Expansion
SWX08 - A-Wing Expansion
SWX09 - TIE Interceptor Expansion
SWX10 - ???
SWX11 - ???
SWX12 - HWK-290 Expansion
SWX13 - Lambda-Class Shuttle Expansion
SWX14 - B-Wing Expansion
SWX15 - TIE Bomber
So, it appears that two other vessels had been "racked and stacked", but were bumped in favor of the Wave 3 vessels we now have. From a design and development perspective, this doesn't surprise me, but it makes for great conspiracy fodder as to what they were and why they were passed over, either short term or <gasp> permanently.
