I say that when you've got so many dice that you can fill a bean-bag chair, or need an entire closet to house your collection... then you might be approaching the point of "too many."

Dice Bean-bag chairs aren't bad until you lean back onto a D4.

I have 5 sets but I am the GM and share among the players. I have two players that have purchased their own sets and I have a couple that use the dice app.
