Pictures of the Tantive IV and GR75 Rebel Transport

By Hexis, in X-Wing

FFG has the models in a display case at the Event Center. I took some pics:

GR75 Rebel Transport

They look very good. On the shelf below the wave 1, 2 and 3 miniatures are all lined up. Together they look great. The scale may be slightly different, but it does not really matter, the capital ships look appropriately huge. The detail is amazing. It feels right. If they took pre-orders now, I would order one of each.

nice photos

Incredible detail and excellent photographs! I hope that FFG retains this level of quality and detail for the retail releases.

I don't have any expectation the final retail offering would be any different. The wave 3 stuff is spot on the samples they displayed on May 4th.

Yes, I agree that these will be great additions to the game. Thanks, Hexis, for the great photos.

One thing I hadn't noticed before is it appears that all of the turrets on the Tantive IV move. Not just the large ones on the top and bottom.

Another is that it truly does appear that the Transport is of the unarmed variety. That just means more work for the escort. :)

Georgous pictures!!!

Very nice pics.

Do you have or are the actaul dimensions posted somewhere?

They look huge!

The more I see these, the more I wish they were out now. Of course my wallet, checking account, saving, and food bills say otherwise.

Is it just me, or is anyone already feeling like wave 3 has been out for 3 months and the big ships are on the boat. I kinda feel FFG is over advertising these ships to the point we are burned out by the time they arrive.

You know, you got a point there. But there is ONE major advantage to the over advertising.

We get to speculate on all the juicy details of play with our current units and see how the stuff might work, then finally when it releases, we DO see how it works..!

It's pretty cool that way. They've also got us on the hook for more and more and more, and I gotta' say, their way of doing it is pretty smart aside from the natural drawback of, "RELEASE IT ALREADY!" and of course, "Okay yeah we know how it works."

I could stand to look at pictures of the Blockade Runner all day. Ok...not really, but **** if it isn't beautiful.

They have shown the big models once, and put them on display at their retail store. I don't think that really counts as over advertising.

We just can't get enough is all.

what all moves on the ships? as the MF has the dish moving part....does the Tan have moving guns or dish???! Vielen Danke!

Looking at that GR-75, I really want to steal this idea I saw on Starship Modeler and paint it brown on top, brick red on bottom, and have a sign on either side that reads, "Pizza Hutt delivery service."
