Summary wanted please

By Daenarys, in Android: Netrunner Rules Questions

Can somebody please provide a short summary of the corporations and runners as i am looking to build decks and need to know what to look out for as i am new to netrunner ?

What i mean exactly is for example HB a rush corporation or control. Which runners prefer to go straight through as opposed to build their rig ?

Thanks

Others can probably do a better job, but as a quick overview:

Shapers - solid programs and pretty much unstoppable with a full rig - try and stop them building it for as long as you can. Often focus on R&D.

Criminal - Very strong in early game, will probably make a lot of early runs. Often a strong focus on HQ.

Anarch - slightly unorthodox programs; ICE trashing, card milling, credit denial - anarchs will try and interfere with the Corp as much as possible, to make the Corp have a harder time scoring.

Jinteki - traps and misdirection, smoke and mirrors. The runner should always be caught guessing which servers are safe to run against.

Weyland - some really strong ICE, great event-based economy. Watch out for Scorched Earth. Typical tactics include Tag & Bag (tag runner, double-scorched earth for flatline) or REALLY big remote server.

Haas-Bioroid - some scary, scary ICE - but with the weakness that Bioroid ICE can be broken with clicks. Strong economy also (Eve and Adonis make a LOT of cash if not dealt with).

NBN - prepare to be tagged, and punished for it. Have your money taken, your resources trashed, maybe even Scorched Earth depending on the player. Some very good 'on encounter' effects on ICE meaning you can't break with normal Icebreakers (need bypass effects such as Inside Job or Femme Fatale).

Thanks for the overview. Much appreciated

Can i get a little bit more of an explanation about this ? An example would be great and i will then cross reference on carddb

Thanks

First of all, this really doesn't belong in the rules forum.

For the NBN on-encounter effects, just look at Data Raven and Tollbooth.
