I've been kinda partial to the name charts in the back of the Galaxy Campaign Guide that WotC released as part of their RCR product line. Covers most of the PC species (Gand being an exception since they were an "optional" selection in the RCR as opposed to being listed in the core rules).

It's flakey at best, but it can be funny. My favorites so far are the Priest's Fetish and the Angry Gigolo. I like to generate 20 names at a time. Chances are none will be good, but you'll get enough ideas form those 20 to make a decent one yourself.

Ah, I didn't look closely. Just assumed (I know I shouldn't do that) based on his post that it was all his creation. Now I see he was just saying he had a link to a name generator. Sigh... That's what happens when I rush. I need to go back to lurking rather than spreading misinformation

Oh God man, I HATE that generator!! "Mat Prig," "Prudy Thrakal," whatever. They SUCK.

I always like to use names from literature, or surnames that sort of follow the SW theme: Skywalker. Starkiller. Solo. Then there's pseudo-Asian names like Obi-Wan or Echuu Shen-Jon.

So, I'll have characters named Dorian Hawkmoon or Corum Solari or Raven Stormcrow. Hell, "Ajax Telamon," straight from the Iliad, is cool. Look around at things you like, and extrapolate from that.
