If you live on Oahu and play X-Wing, we need your help. Our store is trying to run weekly tournaments every Sunday at 2:30, and we currently only have 3 people who show up regularly to play, including myself. The problem is that I know that we have way more players here than that, because I have seen them at stuf like game day and at our first tournament. I know you guys are here. Why Sunday? Because we have x-wing players that play more popular games that would otherwise take precedent on a Saturday.
So please come out and play, we have tables, we have vinyl Star Wars mats, we have all the ships, we just need you guys to show up for this game to be successful here. X-wing cannot become the game that "people just buy the models and don't actually play."
This is a very casual fun tournament, this isn't about being hyper-competitive. There are only 2 rounds for 7 players or less, so people don't burnout. If by some miracle we had 8 people, we bump it up to 3 rounds and increase the prize pool.
I have a very full schedule between work, school, and married life. But I have carved time out from my Sunday to show up and play X-Wing. I will be at the store every Sunday from 2pm to close with my X-Wing stuff, ready to go. Just ask for Kainoa.
Our store is currently located near Ala Moana shopping center, on kapiolani blvd next to H&R block. Look for the glass door with the Warcraft banner above it. However we will be changing to a new location nearby within a week, so please check back for updates.
We also have tournaments scheduled on Thursdays for those of you that work on the weekends.
