I'm in the process of creating my own game board, and wanted to get some thoughts/advice on which Death Star to paint. Currently, it's just black with white "stars" so it's pretty much a blank canvas. I'm leaning more towards ANH Death Star 1 because it probably fits in better with the pilots (e.g. Biggs, Garven, etc). However, ROTJ Death Star 2 is just plain bad@$$, but my inside-nerd would hate that it's thematically not consistent with the pilots (e.g. Biggs and Garven are dead).

I'll post pics of my board once it's completed. It's basically the 3'x3' carry case board that folds in half. I got the inspiration from the board member who created one and used spray paint to create the scene(sorry I forgot your name).

No reason you couldn't say it's the first Death Star under construction, right? The Rebels attacked it multiple times (c.f. Death Star novel).

I can say you'll probably hate doing the unfinished bits. Those will be a beast to paint.

I like that idea. It will definitely take a lot more time to draw/paint the under construction Death Star, but it'll look better.

Learn something from the story... when you have the option of 2 death stars, you always use 2 death stars.
