who votes for FFG to higher american supplier?

By KILODEN, in X-Wing

I'll go out on a limb here and say I'm pretty sure that FFG isn't going to be willing to even consider uprooting and moving the production of their entire line of games (which seem to be doing rather well) because 20 people are bitching on the internet.

Jim

squeeky wheel gets the greese man.

if we whine long enough and loud enough, mabey they will have their current supplier make more.

thats my point

Keep thinking that, and they will keep making sane business decisions ignoring the whiny super-minority on the Internet.

Ok. Now we are rolling. This is what I wanted to see. People talking enough in this thread that FFG would have to listen to demand. Its star wars. Other than star trek(blasphemy) what other sci fi world has this much popularity through generations?

This game is awesome because its star wars and then even better because its gameplay rocks. You have to pay attention to demand or u risk losing people to other great games.

I stopped buying40k stuff to buy xwing. 40k costs almost that much to field an army these days. That's also why I got into the robotech kickstarter. I want an affirdable game. But I don't want to wait for my miniaturrs

You would think that in this day and age that manufacturing something in your own country WOULD be the cheapest option. But alas! our country with it's greed cannot compete with third world countries using slave and child labor to make what we here in America wear, drive , and even our toys have to be built elsewhere just so greedy boards and ceo's can keep their bonuses and fat checks. BUT I digress. lets keep it cheap cause I am not one of those ceo's or corporate board members. I actually have to work for the pittance I get. and lets focus on getting FFG to increase their order sizes so we can flood the market and keep the rif raf from gouging us on ebay and other sites.

Too bad you could not afford some grammar. This reminds me of the Chinese child labor production thread...

argh, the misspelling of Hire on the title is really, really annoying me everytime I look at What's New... Can someone change it?

In other news, It would take a lot of money and resources to move production, and it wouldn't actually help. It would add huge costs, as everything would have to be rebuilt, that would be passed on to customers. Would take time, and labor costs would go up, also causing a knock on effect on the cost of individual miniatures.

FFG, just needs to manage stock levels a bit better. So that they don't run dry.

Now can we close this thread and go get Nachos.

Rodent, I tend to not pay as much attention to threads that cannot use proper grammar. The thread title being what it is, I knew this thread was going to go down the toilet pretty fast. It is probably some 14 year old kid in his moms basement using the internet as a cloak of anonymity to voice his opinion that doesn't conform to market forces.

First of all allow me to apologize for my last post on here. I was very tired and should have went to bed. The only point I wanted to make was that I feel it should be cheaper to make products here in the states, instead of overseas. Manufacturing might be cheaper, but shipping on a ship, then by truck, to a distributor, then off to the stores, Cannot be cheaper than Making product here in the states, and distributing right from the manufacturer. My late night Rant was not appropriate to this topic and I do sincerely apologize. However to those who Care, I am NOT one of the rich people, I drive a truck for a living, and have not even grossed $20,000.00 this year as a company driver. Which means to say, that I am not a 14 year old boy in my mothers basement. Or that I am not a wacko! The improper use of grammar was also due to me being tired and stressed out. :) I should not have Posted it. I do HOPE that everyone will accept my apologies.

A companies goal is to make profit. Understandably they take what steps they can to increase their profit margin. In an ideal world all products would be produced in the country they are to be sold, but is just not the case in the modern world. Blame hundreds of federal and state government agencies, taxes, unions, etc.. So the companies look at the fiscal road block placed in front of them and take the China detour.

It is the internet, far worse things have been posted. I think all will survive. Stay wacky :)

Nobody has a crystal ball and could even fathom the response to this game ; let alone the the never ending stock turn-around....There is sooo much involved with actually the entire process of moving from FFG to our game table....It is apparent that this game has taken them by complete surprise as to the overwhelming surprise of demand for more and more and more.....The hardest decision is to decide when to stop on 1 wave and move on to another....As to start an additional factory here in the states ; I would say no.....If anything requisition a bigger boat lol......The only thing that they might look into is Distribution for the Countries that seem to be out of the loop entirely.....In any case looking forward to more and more and more....Never give up , Never surrender

sorry about the bad grammer...............

i tend to rely to heavily on spell check, and since i do not see that option i have not been proof reading things.

i type and post, bad habit but there you are.

and yes i know spell check would not have helped with HIGHER because it is a word.

i apologize, blame public schooling for allowing someone to pass with a 65%.

hell, geogre bush was a f'n retard and he was elected president.

my point being, this is the only route i could think of to try and talk about the difficulties us gamers have of trying to get ahold of the product for this game.

i am not 14, nor do i want to be again, to much s--- for kids to deal with today.

i am not trying to be offensive and i do not understand why some people feel they need to be to get their point across. grammer aside, i just wanted to draw attention on this board in hopes that FFG pays attention and sees that we are frustrated.

thank you and goodnight.
