can you play that card into shadows as part of your setup?

If so do you have to the cards reveal cost when it comes time to reveal during setup or are you able to leave the card in shadows and not have to reveal it?

You may place Shadows cards at setup by counting them as 2 gold card. You cannot reveal them at setup and they remain in Shadows.
