The community is helpful and friendly. The game is fun, and sound. But does an organized play program actually exist? Is there one in the works? Obviously there are more and more people getting together now, that I see from the sub-forum; and obviously the game is a lot of fun as well, but is there prize support? I know that may make me seem greedy, and snobbish, but if I'm going to really immerse myself in the game, I'd like there to be other positives besides casually enjoying game play and competition. Again, I do hope I don't come off snobbish for asking about this.

I know they offer the Game Night Kits for prize support. Other then that not much from FFG. 3rd party companies make alot of stuff for this, game mats, custom ships, acrylic pieces. I know afewmaneuvers.com is starting a global ranking system, with the hopes of adding more.

FFG does provide game night kits for organized play. The prize distribution is determined locally by the organizer, either as league play, tournament play, or participation items. Currently season 2 game night kits are out, they include acrylic shield tokens, alt art cards for black squadron pilots and 2 for wedge, plus a medal for the champion (tourney or league).
