Regarding scenarios

By mr.thomasschmidt, in X-Wing

Maybe a newb question but then again, I am a newb :) and I have looked through this forum but not found any answer to this question.

I can understand there's some scenarios in the rulebook that one can choose to play. How do you get more? Do you have to "invent" some on your own or do they come in the expansions?

I like SW but mostly for the story not as much for the battles. Not that they aren't great, cause they are, I just haven't really payed that much attention to them before other than part of the story. Like, of cause I know some of the battles, who performed them, where they took place and that, I just doesn't have a clue about which ships where used and why those particulair ships was good/bad and things like that. That's why I think I personally would prefere pre build scenarios to play. Then again, I have just ordered the game and never tried it before so I might change my mind after I have actually played it :D

I think you will find many scenarios in here, plus each of the larger ships (YT-1300 (Millenium Falcon), the Firespray (Slave-1) and also the Lambda Shuttle comes with scenarios or missions. And next year there will be even larger ships and 2 new game formats called Epic and Cinematic. Check out YouTube and the forums for more information.

And best of luck on your adventures in/with this game, I think you will love it either way you want to play it.

May The Force be with you

Thanks guys. You sure are quick :) I don't think I have ever gotten 2 answers that quick before.

Would be great. But I get nothing when seaching for your username. Do you use same name at bgg? Or is there anything in particulair that I can seach after? Scenarios just poped up too much

Wow. That really looks awesome. Can't wait to try them out :) of cause I need my game to come in the mail first ;)

I picked up some micro machines escape pods, they look great for scenario use. I am imagining an off-shoot of "The Redemeer" becoming "Those are the droids we're looking for". Would work great for any objective-capture scenario.

Isn't to big for a scape pod? Maybecould be used as a defensive satellite or something like that.

If FFG can have under-sized capital ships, then I can have over-sized escape pods :)

It might be too big for the exact pod from the movies, but there are probably hundreds of different types and sizes of escape pods.

Doublenot7, your idea I entriques me. I'm totally new to this game, hasn't even tried it yet. Now, I work on Toys R Us in Norway Europe. Here we have a LOT of old LEGO planets from the 4 series so far. Don't know why but they just don't sell. After seeing your picture I began thinking. Could these be used somehow in this game? I have a feeling they could but I don't thin I'm smart enough to think up something :P at least not yet. Here's some pictures of the total of 12 planets

Lots of players use items from other games, etc... for X-wing. I use a few 1997 Hasbro model ships, micro machines AT-AT, AT-ST, and now escape pods, along with a Hallmark ornament.
