URL to video would be handy.

You know what, I can't find it now...

Glaurung's the best, He's tough and he likes tough scenarios and wants tough player cards. And he wants the paper they're printed on to be tough as well. He also wants the packs to be tough, so tough that he can hardly open them without a pneumatic hammer...oh and I guess his postman has to be tough as well...so tough that he must wrestle his mail out of him every time he receives anything, so next time they'll send a battallion of postmen to create an epic scenario where he needs to recreate the battle of hastings in his own home and win it with only the payer cards from half a core set, or otherwise he won't get his mail...So you guys shut up cuz he's too tough for you ! Especially you Samwise Gamgee ! How dare you speak to him ? You're not tough enough !......meeh...

This just made my day. Thank you DevastazioneH88, for making this bear belly-laugh!

I am happy to hear about your plans for continuation of the progression series, Matthew! If you need any assistance you can contact me, of course. Looking forward to the new series :P

Also, I don't really think it is rude for Mitch to disappear like this, but it certainly gives rise to rumors and suspicion, much the same way Bilbo's sudden disappearance did in the Lord of the Rings! (So in a weird way it is a quite fitting way to take leave).

Personally, my first concern was whether there might be some health issues involved, the next whether there has been some irreconcilable differences among the podcast members. In any case, I am glad to hear the former is not the case. As for the latter: It is none of our business anyway. That said, The decision seems final for the time being, so I am just happy to hear that the show goes on :)

On a side note, I am a bit surprised regarding to Brian's post: It sounds more like Mitch just all of a sudden had his fill of Lotr Lcg and is looking into other games....

we're going to keep a close eye on him (two eyes) to let everybody know what he's up to next

Yikes! Im glad Im not Mitch.

Just to defend Mitch a little for all the video editing and posting "non natural" playthroughs. I remember some of the first times where the play throughs where more natural. Then somebody really went "HEY, YOU DID THIS AND THIS WRONG!!! ARE YOU STOPID OR SOMETHING????" and stuff like that. Perfectly constructive critique but said in various destructive ways. So after a couple of these events I can understand that he/they went over in the opposite ditch. "Okay, if it isn't allowed to make a mistake or two to tick off people then we might better talk things through and be sure not to make mistakes". Now, when he did THAT it suddenly was "Buh, boring games" and "You explain too much". Of cause they explain it, that's what you do when you record something and need to make sure people follows. And by the way, he doesn't really explain as much as thinking out loud. Again which you need to do due to the vile comments they got in the beginning. But overall, I only know a handful people on the various forum that think they are boring. Everyone else loves them.

Oh, and to you Glaurung, they have done far more for this game than you have ever done or will do. Why? Because they reach out to all over the whole world. Not just their local gaming group or community. But most important of all, they include all that wanna be included. They don't spit in anyone's faces or looks down on people because they are better or wors than them...

Since I love the progression series and how Mitch presented it, this was my initial reaction to this thread: Noooooooooo!

I have to echo the vader no sentiments on the loss of Mitch.

I enjoyed the progression more for it's remedial effect, but he was a classy guy and definitely capable of cracking a few jokes on cardboard of the rings.

I think we will see the return of the mitch king soon enough.

here's the final video of the PS with Mitch and Matthew:

my first thought was that he might have got a job with FFG, seeing as it happened straight after gencon where he would have met them. wasnt there a guy called feonix from BGG who managed to get a job with them? but it doesnt look like that happened, ah well. i thought mitch was quite good on the podcasts, and its a shame he's gone. i wonder if they will get a replacement from the community

I'm also bummed about Mitch leaving. I hope Matthew continues the series. Maybe he can play 2 handed until he finds a guest host? That would be interesting. We'd see lots of Tactics! :)

As for why Mitch left, well...

- On the one hand, it's really none of our business.

- On the other hand, conjecture can be entertaining and a way of getting back at him for "abandoning" us.

Personally, I think something unpleasant happened at GenCon.

It would be interesting to see people's guesses as to what actually happened.

Direct hit! I love your post!

The news i heard , that Mitch was leaving, struck me as he is a good narrator and his commentary was rather insightful. But hey, life goes one. I just want to thank him for the effort he put into it.

The same to you, Matthew and Brian.

I hope, you guys, will keep the Progression Series/ Card Reviews going for all the AP/Expansions to come.

As to all the critism, all approaches have their pros and cons. I rather liked it,

but i am looking forward to the new approach and episodes as well ;)
