Yup, Star Tours in Tokyo, Disney has C3PO as the pilot.

LOL....that is the only ride I have ever been on that I experienced some motion sickness.

Thanks! Nope the model is die cast toy from around 2011. Found on eBay after I couldn't find it at Tokyo Disney. Comes in a set of 6 different ship colors. I just made the card.

It's been C-3PO since they revamped the ride. Poor Rex has been decommissioned.

This may be nit-picky but wouldn't C-3P0 be a lower pilot skill then RX? Just since RX is supposedly programmed specifically to fly the ship.

That was my thought as C3PO is a protocol droid not a pilot or astromech.

Also trying to remember the ride. Did R2 pilot the ship at one point during the ride as well? Or did he just show up in another ship...been too long.

My thought was that C-3P0 has been around the block a few times where as it's RX-24's first flight.

Also, what do you guys think of the maneuvers I assigned on the dial? I tried to make it zippy but not fast.

I would have probably went the other way and not had much below speed 3. From what I remember of those rides your hurtling around at full speed a lot of the time.. with the Boost, it would still be quite maneuverable even if you only had a 3T,3B,3,4,5 ,,, (No K-turns)..

I thought we all knew that really R2 is flying and C3P0 is just there for comic relief.

R2 isn't really a pilot either. He's more a navigator / mechanic.
