LE Stuff Resources?

By 455 PWR, in Warhammer: Invasion The Card Game

Hi all,

So I recently discovered this game when my brother tried to get me into Star Wars TCG. I dove all in as I have played Warhammer 40k for the past 15 years and love the Warhammer fantasy and 40K universe(s).

I am a bit of a completist and have been trying to collect everything. I have the S2 Game night kit with 9 Contested Villages and Two Blood Dragon knight full art cards. I also collected a full art Zealot Hunter, several full art Warpstone Evacuation cards, Several

Full art Judgement of Verenas, and the 6 player board replacement cards.

Is there a comprehensive list of all the LE/Convention/Game Night stuff? I have tried to research the LE stuff, but there is very little info out there besides a few pics of almost impossible to find past game night kits (like the one with those beautiful red power tokens... arrrg I swear will own some before I die).

So far this is the list I have made:

Game Knight kit1:

Elf Poster, Dark Elf Game Mat, Acrylic Power Tokens (looks like 18?), 6 Player Board replacement cards

Game Night kit 2:

Orc Poster, Dwarf Card box, 12 Acrylic Fire tokens, 9 Contested Village and two Blood Dragon Knight full art cards

Game Night Kit 3:

Elf Poster, Card Box, 8 Dwarf Patches, and several Achievement Booklets

Game Night Kit 4:

Dark Elf Poster, Orc Card Box, Dark and High Elf pins, Achievement Booklets

Gencon/Convention Stuff:

full art Warpstone Evacuation

full art Zealot Hunter

Full art Judgement of Verena

Orc Playmat

It will be tough to get all the old kits. My advice is to start a local league night so you can get all the future coolness!

How did you get the 6 capital cards? I just got into the game a month or two ago and have been stalking eBay looking for them, without much luck. It could easily be I am looking in the wrong places, but would love to know how you got yours.

Before the new alternate art cards that was pretty much the main prize support for the game. They started giving them out at GenCon 2011 and have since put them in regional and league kits as participation prizes.

still, there are not a single on on ebay =(

There was a guy at Nationals that made a custom mini capital board so I guess that's legal.

They really should just put that in the store as a product you can buy. I know they still like them as participation prizes, but they seem to be getting away from that and I would love to purchase a few for my group. The original boards take up a little too much space on the field for my tastes.

This weekend we played at a square table and had two games going at once, with each person playing against the person across from them, and that table filled up really fast with four boards that size sitting on it.

I'll look and see how many extras I have this weekend and post a set or 2 on ebay

that would be super-marvelous

I bought the capital cards off ebay in a large lot of WI stuff (used core set, march of the damned, whole corruption cycle, a playmat, and the 6 capital cards). I saw some pics of the new upcoming expanion and it looks like the new capital boards are now smaller capital cards, so I wanted capital cards to match. I spent more than I wanted to but haven't seen any other sets out there. Ebay is also where I found the 2nd game night kit with promo cards and acrylic counters, the judgement of verenas (still on ebay), the warpstone evacuation cards (still on ebay), etc. There are a couple people selling the newer game night kits, but I don't really care about the posters, booklets, pins... I just want the cards and counters.

I'd really like to find the acrylic power counters, but I've never seen them on ebay and most player in central WI are casual players so they don't have the game night stuff.

Anyone know of any other promo full art cards not listed?

I have the acrylic power counters. They are too big to be useful. There are also wood power counters from the 2010 regional, those are really cool!

Here are what the power tokens look like:

I may be wrong on the date for the wooden tokens. They are before my time. I only know one guy that has them and he got them with a card lot he bought. Here is a photo showing him and and his girlfriend playing with them:

Here are pics of the first mini-capital boards from GenCon 2011. Participants received 3 double-sided boards with a different faction on each side. All capital boards since are still double sided, but show a piece of cool art on one side and a Warhammer Invasion logo on the other.

I've been thinking and rather than selling the extras on ebay I think I'm going to instead use them as an incentive to come to our next regional event. Nothing is set in stone yet, but I'm considering prizes for people that drove the furthest, largest out of town group and stuff like that.

I guess that would work. I am already putting the bug in my playgroup's ear about making the drive to Louisville from Atlanta next season, so that would just serve to sweeten the deal. I am not an incredibly competitive player, but I do enjoy tournaments. They give you an incentive to playtest and tweak your deck down to the most pure form you can manage, and I have always enjoyed working to make my decks tournament ready. Plus they allow you to meet people from all over and really connect with the community.

That said, if we can make it, I am prepared to receive a beatdown against all the far more experienced WHI players. My friends and I also play L5R and experienced the same thing at Kotei this year, but it served to really focus the group and brough our deck building to a whole new level. Totally worth the experience.

It would be awesome to have you guys come!

We play a lot, but I wouldn't call us super competitive. We strive to build big tournaments because they are fun and give a reason to hone our decks. Overall our group is a bunch of dads that use Warhammer Invasion as our wild and crazy fun night.

I really hope you guys can come up!

They are mostly sold already, we just have to plan for the trip at this point. We still have a few in our group that like the game, but are deciding exactly how involved they want to become with it.

I am still trying to decide if I want to get the slayers to a tournament level or try my luck at the Wood Elves when they come out. None of them seem like they will do all that well, but both seem fun to play at least. I quite enjoy my slayers currently, and Serpent Slayer has probably my favorite artwork in the game for the moment.

I would ask for your vote, but from most of the posts I have seen, I think I know with which faction your loyalties lie.

I'm really excited about Hidden Kingdoms and think Wood Elves are the way to go. The WE capital ability of starting the game with a development in each zone paired with Empire's super-fast, low loyalty economy ( Derricksburg Forge , Peasant Militia , Huntsmen , and Shrine to Taal ) will allow you to get Verena off really quickly!

Are you guys getting league kits now? I really like the art on the new Verena's.

Unfortunately we got into the game in early July, and apparently the deadline was in May sometime. As such there will be no league kits for us. At this point it isn't a huge issue though since our group is still so new. I would like to give my group a chance to get everything sorted out before we try to bolster too much. I am concerned if people come to an event that looks too disorganized it will put them off from future involvement.

There is an LCG group in Marrieta (about 35 minutes away) I was thinking of reaching out to. They seem to mostly play Netrunner and GoT, but they used to have the ocassional event that featured some WHI so it is possible there are players there that may be interested in finding some new opponents.

I sent them a message on their meetup page inviting them to play. Marietta is a bit out of the way for them to try to join our events in Cumming (although they are more than welcome to), but if they are interested I am more than happy to try to work out a way for them to participate.

It isn't so far that finding a comfortable middle ground is impossible if they have the interest.

Kaine, do you have any pictures of any 2012 capital board cards? I just looked at mine (2013), and saw that I have 6 totally different cards (new art) from your 2011 capital boards. For example my chaos board has a plague bearer intead of a bloodletter.

All sets of mini capital boards have different art. Regionals, Nationals, Worlds, and league kits , they have never given the same art on a capital board twice.
