Citadel Cuiser High-Res Deck Plans

By Zychon, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

The Citadel plans are up.

Warning: These are kind of meh. I struggled to turn the Citadel's innards into something interesting. It's a small craft with a basic shape. I tried to gussy her up a bit with some externals, though.

Anyhow, I hope you make some use of this in your sessions!

Its not blowing wind up my skirts like your amazing Wayfarer...

Oh yeah... the externals are there. Nice.

Just an observation, but Isn't that supposed to be a biiiig ship I mean, bigger than a Wayfarer. (Hmm.. maybe the same.) Its supposed to have two Y Wings attached to the bottom. That would imply a good double the width and length, right?

The Citadel appears to be 36m long and perhaps 12m wide (plus a bit more for the ion cannons). It may or may not have two decks based on the apparent thickness of the hull.

It's designed to be a civilian cruiser - as in cabin cruiser, not warship cruiser. It's primarily a high-end alternative to a YT-1300p, and should be set up with a number of passenger cabins to facilitate comfortable long duration travel (note the 6 months of consumables it carries).

I like it. The externals are nice, I personally really enjoy seeing them!

Another sweet map I am SURE to use. Thanks Zychon.

The execution is amazing, really love being able to see the sub deck under the deck plating. As noted, it does feel kind of small. It is a larger ship. A second deck would go a long way to fixing the issue. Thanks and keep up the awesome work!

I based her off the 36m length. It looks like she should have one full deck with a partial deck above and below, which is what my first layout looked like. That version had berths for 17, but seemed to have far more cargo space than it should (estimated by comparing a few YT-1300 internals. I might do a pleasure cruiser version and add the top partial deck.

I envisioned the two Y Wings docked longitudinally. The cockpit of the aft Y-Wing can fit between the fore Y-wing's engine nacelles, making them nice and compact, and the aft fighter's nacelles fit to either side of the center stabilizer. I've seen a deck plan with them side by side, but that layout was of a much larger ship, and probably disregarded the 36m length.

All in all, you've got a craft that is sturdy and can hit fairly hard for its size, with a good passenger capacity. It can also store 2 fighters, is equipped with a tractor beam, and still gets 4 hard points. ..For 200k? That's a steal!

I'd say that it merely docks/holds the fighters rather than actually storing them, but otherwise it's quite the grab for a party if they can grab one... in particular, you've not only got concussion missiles but even ion cannons! Frankly, it's a so-called civilian transport but I consider it a mobile base in its own right!
