I would definitely love to see a "Guide to Imperials" as described above. Plot hooks, NPCs, personages of note (NPCs for whom stats are inappropriate, eg Vader), equipment, vehicles, and advice on using the Empire as campaign antagonists. Of course such a book would also be very useful to those wishing to play as Imperials.
What's the next sourcebook you want?
I like the one page planet guides we have, now let's see more....

Edited by EmricoBesides the splat books, I'd like to see the following:
• Ship Codex & Build Guide: Basically a catalog of other ships (maybe with each book broken down by size/classification of ship) with advanced rules on how to modify them (with new mods also). Maybe toss in a few extra talents here and there that center around ships, or maybe a few neat NPCs.
• The Edge of the Empire Guide to Imperials: A book on the Empire with a bevy of NPCs, ships and gear. Included would be variant Stormtroopers, Inquisitors, and possibly Emperor's Hands. Maybe also include advice for creating Imperial foes and give some important members of the Empire (such as Vader, Tarkin, etc.).
What sketchpad said...
A Ship Codex which also contains some ship layouts, even smallish 'not to scale' 1 pagers. I think that outside the venerable YT-1300 it gets a little awkward, and ships really really ignite player imagination. (Layouts should concentrate on crew sizes of 2 to 6.) Variants are incredibly usedul.
Droids... I'd like to see more on droids. They are currently meant to be run more on imagination, which is kind of difficult. (Maybe this is a soft cover splat book? An idea book?)
I want one that has BUNCH of info on different planets and side quests that can be run that are unique to those planets.
I just had an unpleasant thought.
If each career is going to get its own expansion book (like Into the Unknown for Explorer) and the next to core books contain several new careers as well... won't that mean that unless FFG pumps them out at a decent rate there will be an awful backlog of books? There are six careers in EotE, and ItU is coming in Q4. AoR is already in beta and might show up on shelves in a year or so, which means there would have to be one expansion book every 2 months in order for FFG to stay current. I'm not sure they can keep up a pace like that while simultaneously working on AoR and FaD.

Cheaper than Pathfinder...

Not if you consider that Pathfinder is available in pdf for a much more reasonable price - not to mention portability.
I'd like to see a well done book on droids and more adventures. Otherwise publish every single thing you can while you have the license. I support FFG 1000%...as long they continue to produce new high quality accessories that add value to the brand.
Specialization cards add no value to the brand. The fact they wasted even a small percentage of their resources is just disappointing.

I hope they crank it out, I'm so glad they have the property. Right now their vision (besides specialization cards) is amazing. Such a great game.

This is the way that I'd go with an "Imperial Guide"; I was skeptical as to Sketchpad's take but maybe I'm just thrown off by the "Edge of the Empire" bit?
Age of Rebellion already has variant stormtroopers and presumably rules for the specialists' gear, an Emperor's Hand is already in Edge of the Empire (Inquisitors could be an appropriate new NPC if we're not already getting them in Age of Rebellion or Force & Destiny) and we're already getting a notable number of capital ships and starfighters to round out the Imperial "arsenal" already seen in Edge of the Empire*; I can see more room for vehicles or particular specialized equipment though, but plot hooks, roleplaying advice and just plain "lore" are where I see value in an "Imperial Sourcebook"... not stats.
* That is to say, Edge of the Empire already gave us the basic TIE/Ln, the Lambda-class, the Skipray, the Star Galleon, and the three capital ships besides the Marauder-class saw at least some Imperial use, and for planetary vehicles it had both the AT-PT and of course the 74-Z speeder bike.

Don't get me wrong, I don't care about the cost. I'll happily throw my money at FFG. I was worried that we'll be halfway to FaD and still not done with the careers from EotE. And then having to wait years for the new careers from the other core books.
I think it is probably safe to say that their supplement sourcebook schedule is pretty well laid out, though. I'm guessing they are going to make a Technician, Colonist, Bounty Hunter, Hired Gun, and Smuggler source book like the Explorer one coming out (in no particular order, of course.). Then, when they are done with that, they are going to do a Soldier, Spy, Diplomat, Ace, Commander, and Engineer supplement. Then, when they are done with that, they are going to do a F&D Career 1, F&D Career 2, F&D Career 3, F&D Career 4, F&D Career 5, and F&D Career 6 Supplement.
After that, well, who knows?
I want a Galaxy Builder GM toolkit, i.e the mechanics for building NPC, Creatures, Ships, Speeders, Tanks etc.
Also what i would like to see is a run down of possible factions, and tools to improvise worlds, citizens. (Some story relavant random tables, which are modern and interesting.)
Also a campaign like they did for Warhammre FRPG, the enemy within, this would be totally awesome. (It would be best to have that first.) Better multiple campaign´s. I hope they dont overcomplicate it with further books, the mechanics in their current state are very good, i would appreciate, when they further develop on the player empowerment aspect of the game. I absolutley like the dark and light force point roll up , when we start a session. Also some advice would be needed how to balance encounters, for beginner and advanced players.
1. A "MM" type of book with rules/ suggestions on how to build your own
2. A vehicle book with deck plans and possibly more modifications.
As much as I would like to see all of the classes get their "splat book", I would have preferred getting the above 2 first.
