Just out of curiosity, does someone know the year each edition/revision was published and who was the developer/publisher of each?
Game History
I remember getting the 1st edition as a 12 year old in 1983 for $27 Australian - it was really a beautiful game at the time. I have lots of happy memories of sitting around a table with friends chanting "Toad! Toad! Toad!" whenever someone visited the Witch or was subjected to a Random spell. I think it's undeniable that the die lands on 1 much more frequently when a table of people are willing it to.
Pretty soon expansions were added and before long the boards were taking up the entire table.
I bought 3rd edition when it came out but was pretty disappointed with the art style and change of direction.
Also got the 4th edition but e-bayed it as soon as I heard an FFG revision was coming out...
