Promotional Materials?

By Jomero, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

I was given the opportunity to volunteer as a GM at a local Convention (that is practically entirely made up of volunteers). Obviously, I want to GM a SW:EotE game. This will be in November.

My plan is to really get the players into this game by having as much art/photos as I possibly can. My biggest draw will be that I will have a big EotE game name and artwork on a posterboard at the table (my hunch is it will be the only one of it's kind, and thus be an even bigger draw to new players).

I don't plan on using any of the printed adventures. They are awesome, but I am tasked with coming up with an adventure that will conclude around the four hour mark. I already have some ideas on what I'd like to do that will be fun for everyone, and even keep it tied to the movies (so even if they've never played an RPG, they will still see that their characters made a difference).

Does anyone know if FFG has stuff I can use? Especially in the form of hi-res artwork? This would be all be on my own dime, and I don't get paid for my time nor do the players get charged anything extra to play (so, essentially, it's free marketing for them).

Or anyone know if there is anyone at FFG I should be contacting directly to inquire about this?

Thanks for any help you guys have!

There's a PDF of Long Arm of the Hutt available from this site. The artwork contained in there is copy & pasteable. As for whether you're ALLOWED to do such a thing, i dunno. But the artwork in that pdf are individual elements.

Thanks for the reply. I am going to attempt to contact FFG and make sure I am not going to step on any legal toes with some of my ideas. Here's hoping I can get an answer from someone.

The last thing I'd want to do is go about this the wrong way. All I want to do is create an awesome experience for new players.

So I hit up FFG for a presskit and was told they don't have anything. However, they might very well have posters and goodies like that - I'm interested to hear what you find out!
