Gollum? He fell into Mount Doom and died (with the One Ring)
Nope!

Nope!
I didn't really think it was still the War of the Ring, but sure. Saruman. Murdered by Grima Wormtongue in the SHire.
So close...
So close...
GrĂma was then shot down by Hobbit archers as he tried to flee. Wormtongue's death was the last in the War of the Ring.
Are we calling him Sharky?
Beorn has it! Hard luck, Troy.
Who were Shelob's parents?
I know she's the last surviving Ungoliant Spawn, but who (or what) Ungoliant got with I'm not sure. I'm not sure I want to know, to be honest... ![]()
To clarify, because this area of Tolkien's legendarium has always been murky: Who were Shelob's *alleged* parents?

Going to be AFK, and I don't want to hold up the game while I'm gone, so Troymk1, you can ask the next question.
Ungoliant supposedly mated with 'something' also spider like at Cirith Ungol. ~shudder~
Why was Eldacar's rule a cause for rebellion in Gondor?
His ancestry was not noble enough in order to be king of Gondor
Correct, his blood had been sullied by the Northmen !
Over to you
ok then ...
Whom Caranthir called an Elf of Darkness in order to offend him ?
Elu Thingol?
Thingol it is ... I thoughtbit was going to be more difficult than that
. Well done, your turn
its interesting to see the silmarillion being the questions of choice here ![]()
For my part, it is the one I love the most and though I have more than fifteen years to read it I remember a lot of stuff
I hope that during winter I'll be able to read it again to refresh knowlendge. Also I believe that now I will get a better glimpse than when I last read it, when I was just finishing highschool and just beggining to learn about Tolkien
i have only read it properly a few times.....i admit it is a huge hole in my tolkien knowledge, though i do not mind that at all. i love the material in the third age far more. i know many tolkien fans prefer the silmarillion over lotr, and i can see why that may be, they are very different of course
I am sorry for the delay. I have to say I love the Silmarillion lore, the uncertain state of many affairs (mostly due to the limited time the Professor had to uncover it all) makes them mostly all the more intriguing. I cannot say I prefer the Silmarillion over the Lord of the Rings (or even the Hobbit), I like them all as a single unifying piece of beauty, tragedy and passion.
An easy one now, what is the name of the most famous horse of the Valar?
