Wave 3 = done

Fleet = done (for now)

Bombers / Heavy Attack Fighters / Support Ships are done.

What do we think Wave 4 will be composed of? I firmly believe they will have to put out a large (medium?) rebel ship since wave 3 didn't have one. I was thinking Dash, but that brings up the 360 degree firing arc rebel ship issue.

Maybe a cheap rebel ship (headhunter)?

A heavy imp attack ship (TIE Defender)?

Another Bounty Hunter (oh please make Hounds Tooth)?

Black Sun?

I think FFG should consider putting out a "Star Wars Fan Torture" Wave. All prequel ships with PS 15 Jar Jar Binks pilot cards.

Even just annoucing it would put half their customer base in therapy.

I was thinking the other day about lists I want to try and what each side has access too. It occurred to me that the Imperials have no access to 360 arcs. As a result I would like to see a Tie Sentinel in the next wave. Maybe (probably) it wouldn't have a 360 arc base but it could have at least a turret upgrade slot.

Also the imps haven't gotten an actual "heavy attack fighter" so maybe the defender. I figure wave 4 will be 2 small ships for the imps.

For the rebels probably the z-95 and a big ship of some sort. Probably another smuggler, hopefully nothing even closely YT related.

Really I think at this point since they are heading firmly into the EU (if they want to say rebellion/new republic era) then we will be seeing ships picked for what they bring to the table. Things to fill in thematic play points that each side is missing.

Come on FFG, people want the Tie Defender and Z-95 already. Just give them to us pretty please.

My guess would be some combination of the following:

Z-95

TIE Defender

YT-2400

Hounds Tooth/IG-2000/other bounty hunter ship

Skipray

Assualt Gunboat

Virago

My money would be on the Z-95, TIE/D, YT-2400 and one of the Bounty Hunter ships, mostly because I think that would be what a vast majority of people have been requesting. The Z-95 would give rebels a cheap ship, the TIE/D would give Imps an expensive ship with Ion/Secondary systems, the YT-2400 would give the Rebs another much requested large ship (since Imps got the Lambda), and I'd bet one of the other smaller bounty hunter ships, maybe even the Virago since it would match with the YT-2400 thematically.

Actually, If they did only two ships (maybe the Z-95 and TIE/D?) and then did a couple of expansion packs for the existing ships with new pilots/upgrades I'm sure that would be a big hit also. Choosing X-wings/TIEs has gotten a little stale of late.

Would be cool if they maybe did some sort of theme list bonuses too, Ie if all of your list is Red Squadron X-Wings or the associated Unique Pilots, you got a 1-2 point discount on some upgrade or maybe a free move before the game started or something along those lines. I'm thinking something similar to how Warmachine does themes. You can only take XYZ ships to fulfill it, but you get XYZ bonuses if you do.

A Skipray would be awesome. It would be a great Imperial ship that could carry a turret weapon. Then the Imperial players could stop whining about the 360 issue.

The Outrider remain my top vote for a medium rebel ship.

I know it is close to the Falcon but it is the closest ship from the EU to canon if you think yout how they promoted Shadows of the Empire.

For the second rebel ship i do not know.

For the Imps i am hoping the Virago from Shadows of the Empire.

The other ship is already known if FFG continues their "we spoil a ship from the next wave on a card" system. That should be a Kihraxz light fighter.

I would like to have E-wing over Z-95.

I have been experimenting with Shapeways for another game, but I noticed they do have a number of 1/270 X-wing models posted as well.

I would love to see a Baudo-Class Star Yacht. Sexy ship there, and you could have Mirax and Booster as pilots. I kinda expect the Z-95 for the Rebels, but i wouldn't be surprised if they went with an E-wing instead.

Imperials will get the TIE Defender, i have little doubt, and they'll hopefully also get a gunship that can take a turret. Both small size ships, and the rebs get 1 medium ship, 1 small, to keep the balance.

I'd love to see a TIE Vanguard as well

TIE Defender, Z-95, E-Wing (Fate Of The Galaxy version would be ideal http://goo.gl/8g6LPv ). I almost don't even care, outside of those 3.

Wouldn't mind StarViper/Virago or Hound's Tooth. The argument that the Outrider is a Falcon knockoff is understandable, but I wouldn't turn that down, either. I never played Galaxies but the Kihraxz ships are nice. Some more TIE variants would be okay, like the Phantom, Vanguard, g/t, TIE Droid. Even the TIE Avenger. Please no Oppressor, Aggressor, or Hunter, though—I hope to never see them at all. I never cared for the XG-1 or Missile Boat either; they tend to buck the Imperial aesthetic in my opinion. Although I'm sure we'll see one or both, eventually.

Really, though, until I get a flight of TIE Defenders, I don't even care.

Much as I'd want the Assault Gunboat over the derpy Skipray, the Skipray would give the Empire a 360 arc that they do need. The Baudo would be a nice aversion to yet another flying Rebel Pancake while giving some great support options and being thematic to the whole X-Wing ideal (As it premiered in the X-wing related book/comic series). I'm hoping for the more interesting comic

I really want the E-Wing. Badly. I loved that fighter when I first saw it in Dark Empire. (also great comics by the way.....well the first series.)

While the Baudo-class yacht is certainly sexy I think the Lady Luck could have a lot better story base. It would get Lando as a unique pilot and I'm sure there are a few other people who are likely to have flow that ship.

The Skipray may be an interesting ship but while it has a turret you need to remember that it's primary weapon is a massive, capital ship level, Ion cannon. Thus it would be screaming for both a turret upgrade and a cannon upgrade granted it may have a relatively low primary attack.

If you put in a TIE Defender it really becomes a question about what to balance that with. I've said the Defender should probably have an Interceptor like dial, attack, and defense die but have Advanced level hit points if not more. Not sure what upgrades it would include. The counter to that would probably be slow and relatively weak with a different set up upgrades available.

First thing I'd do to fix the E-Wing is cut off that stupid laser cannon on the top of it. Overhanging the cockpit with a laser cannon seems like a great way to blind the pilot, plus it just looks terrible. Cut it off, then you have a great looking ship.

Versions of the E-Wing with the blaster/ion turret instead of laser cannon aren't too bad.

To be honest, I've never been crazy about the E-Wing, but if the model looks like those, I could get used to it. Those pictures are pretty sharp.

Wow, there's a lot of good suggestions in this thread. I don't know a lot about the eras that all these ships come from, but I'd be happy with just about any or all of them. I guess that means there is a lot of room for future waves for X-Wing.
