I'm trying to decide whether or not to attend Worlds for the side events for X-Wing and SWLCG. The following X-Wing events are scheduled:

Does anyone know any details on the Escalation Tourney, or what furball is?

Does anyone have any opinions on the participation / fun of Worlds weekend if one does not have a seat in a main event?

Escalation sounds pretty cool by the name but that seems to be all that is known. Perhaps we will see previews of the campaign or cinematic scenarios? I imagine a furball is semi-casual dogfights with some sort of bracket.

It is my understanding that you don't have to "have a seat" for the main tourney. i think you can just show up and get in. There will be many players that have won regional tourneys that will have a first round bye, but I think there will be a large number of players who haven't who will be playing in the first round.

I imagine the furball is 8-10 players on a 4X6 map or something, each with 30 points? And I don't know what the Escalation tourney is.

Yea, I agree. I will be there because of winning a regional for the SW LCG and since that doesn't conflict, I was planning on playing in the X-Wing tourney as well, if for no other reason but for fun. I expect this to be the case for most of the worlds tournaments to varying degrees.

Where can I find the information for the Worlds events?

EDIT: that probably wasn't super helpful - I am guessing you are looking for concrete details on each tourney. I'm not sure that they have been released yet.
