Though there are a lot of reports about Wave 3 at Gen Con, I've yet to see any comments about the Starfield Game Tile Kit. Was this at Gen Con as well?

I did not see any game board products at GenCon. The closest thing I saw was the starfield maps that were being used to play tournament games on and it was just something they cheaply printed out before the con.
