Do We Know...

By Rockstar2, in UFS General Discussion

...which cards, other than Martial Arts Champ and Mark of the Beast, will carry over from our current Standard into B3 come April? Also, will it only be 5 cards carrying over, or will there be others?

Inquiring minds want to know... gran_risa.gif

There will be 5 cards carried over with the release of Set 12. With each new set they will release carry over 4-6 cards from the previous blocks.

Yep that is correct we are going to have our SOTG discussion with Steve next week and will see if Steve will be wiling to spoil more about the reprints.

Look at your avatar selection

Remember when they said Burning Knuckle would be coming back? If you look at your avatars, Burning Knuckle is one of them, and perhaps suspiciously ennough, among it are other cards of agreeable balance. Coincidence? I'm going to go ahead and call spoilers. Such cards include ESP, Burning Rage, and Ninja Computer Geek. Honestly, I wouldn't use any of those 3 =/

I dont know if those will be or not but from what we have learned thus far they are going to be cards that will impact the meta. So its not going to be something that just sits in your trade binder.

I wouldn't complain if ESP came back, although it's slightly less likely because it's already been a foil once. Burning Rage and Ninja Computer Geek are both stronger possibilities. Though I don't really think avatars are a good indicator, as far as I know they've always had those pics to showcase different characters.

I heard a rumor on oe of them :3

The odd smily tells me it's something good :P

Come on, buddy, spill the beans!

I reckon Deadly Rage would see some play if it came back, it does punish characters who sit there damage pumping one attack all the time, especially consideribng that Water has Rejection, so you'd be able to really discourage your opponent from a one-shot kill if you had both of those together, and E.S.P would certainly be welcome in a Life Leona deck.

Why would they bring block 1 cards into block 3? They did that for block 2, now it should be block 2 cards into block 3 shouldnt it? If Mark of the Beast is actually one of them i am excited, I already play block 3 only decks, and was most disappointed by the loss of that card. Treacherous Ballade would be another nice one to have back in my deck lol.

Well there's talk of Steel's Bane coming back, which is a block 1 card. And though they did do Block 1 cards into Block 2, there was only Block 1 to carry over at that point, so we can't be sure that they'll bring back cards just from the immediately preceeding block until we have a few more rotations down the line.

Due to the rising "popularity" (in decks) of loops and their simultaneous "unpopularity" (k thats not a word) with players, i really think Pull of the Tides will get a new marking.

If it isnt reprinted, they will reprint a similar card sans infinity. This is actually what i thought would happen, but then seeing new spoilers with infinity idk...

Where oh where are these 'rumours' coming from? ... hmmm....

While I generally agree, if a card needs to be reprinted, it needs to be reprinted.

Burning Knuckle was the first to be confirmed, although I disapprove of its reprinting.

1 accusation. Don't shoot that pistol just yet.

Also, I have no idea myself. If I could only spread half the rumors I hear about I'd consider myself a master troller.

Also, on the Burning Knuckle subject? I don't disagree with it's reprinting, other than the fact that it has Order on it. It opens up so much more possibilities, and more specifically, allows perhaps the introduction of vit loss effects that don't suck.

and why do you disapprove of BK's reprinting? It's a fantastic card; one of my favorite attacks, actually.

I wouldn't mind having Steel's bane back, because combined with Nature's Force that gives 5 (not evil) symbols ways to deal with assets easily. Although Natures is a better alround card, and can easily be recurred through TGT, Fire in particular could do with the help.

Nice warhammer online reference. Sorry I haven't been playing that witch hunter lately. I find the roleplaying server adds challenges I'm not ready for yet in my leadership capacity. hit me up on Iron Fist. Vheal, Vsword and so on. Mostly those two. Vermillian is my only on Pheonix Throne.

Yeah, I'd be feeling burning knuckle like... 4 sets ago. Now it seems like over kill.. but how much would it really help order?

Seeing as how the winning Order decks offsymbol into Air, Good, or Water to use Feline Spike and then main symbol with HPB and iSpin, I doubt Burning Knuckle would make any impact on the kind of Order decks we have right now.

I could certainly see an All deck using it, however.

The only thing that makes Pull of the Tides good imo is that it has the Infinity symbol. If it didn't have the symbol, the card would suck hard. Remember-just because you play it doesn't mean it will always work. The card needs protection. Fire and Water do not offer protection from things like BRT. Giving Pull the infinity symbol allows it to be put into, say, an Air deck where Inhuman Perception can protect it from Responses that would eat the card alive, or an All deck that could eat KFT's with it's own KFT's. The card should be available to all symbols. I say this with some spite since I dearly hate decks that rely on Defender loop to win.

It's not so much that it would help the symbol be even more powerful, but more like "Ho hum ANOTHER good card that has Order on it."
